Yours to Hold. Forever.
Your ancestors are not a product to rent — they are yours to hold. The giants built libraries of the dead and rent them back by subscription; we are building a sanctuary of the living and the owned.
Ask Zuri about this page
This page is our promise, plainly. The record-giants built libraries of the dead and rent them back to you by subscription, funded by your data.
We’re building the opposite: an institution, not a database; a record held under your hand alone, encrypted with a key only you hold; an archive that begins with the living voice before it passes; and a keeping placed beyond loss, preserved for the life of the archive — not a rental that lapses. You are a steward here, not a user.
Begin your own record whenever you’re ready — there is no paywall on your own blood.
Why we keep it differently
This page is our promise, plainly. The record-giants built libraries of the dead and rent them back by subscription, funded by your data. We are building the opposite — five differences, held to.
An institution, not a database
We honor the named and recover the unnamed — every family of humankind, rooted in the Cradle of Humanity. The thread does not break at 1870, and no life is too obscure to be remembered by name. You do not subscribe to a cause. You join it.
Held under your hand alone
What you keep is sealed by a passphrase only you hold — encrypted before it leaves your device. No server ever reads your words; if you sign in, we keep only the sealed copy, which not even we can open. A business funded by the sale of data cannot make this promise.
The archive that still breathes
The giants index the departed. We begin with the living — the voice of an elder, a lesson, a blessing — captured before the memory passes. It cannot be searched for. It can only be gathered, in time.
Beyond loss — and yours to keep
Stop paying the others and you lose your tree; they rent you your own kin. Here, one deliberate act — a Seal — places a moment beyond loss: preserved for the life of the archive, with a public proof you can check. Not a rental that lapses. There is no paywall on your own blood.
A steward, not a user
You are not an account to be monetized. You are a steward of a line — keeping what was given, for those who come after. To recover a name your family lost is not a transaction; it is a return.
Honoring our past, guiding our future — held under your hand, and placed beyond loss.
